Don't know about the iPhoney 5 but the iPod guards had pretty good coverage on the sides, though not on the sharp edges (which I don't see any film guards doing).

As for the soap concerns, they're not asking you to dip it into soapy water (worst thing you could do btw, like 100x worse than dipping into plain water). You just put enough to let the film slide around, then wipe it off.

What concerns me is how hard the film adheres to the device, though you could say that's a good thing if you're concerned about longevity. The sucker is hard to take off. Comes off cleanly though

Got a few on the last 80% sale. I think it's such a hassle. Watch their VIDEO before you make your decision. You know how daunting it is to use this "water base" protectors on your 10" screens? Then to squeegee out the waters to the edges. Must be safe, but I was really uncomfortable. Then after wards, the feel of my tablet was crappy. I suspect these 80% off sales are closer to their fair market value. I can't imagine buying this stuff at their crazy retail prices.

I just installed 2 of the back protectors and used the GENERIK front antiglare/anti fingerprint. I would hate to use the bodyguardz for the front and prefer SPG glass protector, clear or Generik AG/AF.

For the Generik protector were they matte? I like SPG ones.

Mine came in yesterday. The cut out of the skins isn't exactly the best. And they could have had a bigger opening on the back camera/flash part.

I didn't even realize there was an open part next to the back camera, hope there isn't a water sensor there.

They are anti glare and anti fingerprint. It is somewhat matte but still a nicely clear picture. I have tried matte and it makes it too dull to enjoy the retina display. The generik is a nice mix of clarity and anti-glare. For $5 for 3 of them it is worth it to try and throw away couple months later if you do not like.
