I go with Qnap/Synology products. Reliable and full of functions. But their four bays starts around $350+ hehe

I've this. The fan is a little loud. I only use it for smb. Works fine, i've not used the media server or time machine functions. I'm using 2x2TB. See below for a review.

I would do research about the transfer rates before ordering it. Love my QNAP which was little more expensive but has a great performance.

I think I'm going to jump on this. I currently have a (very) old HP Mediasmart server and not only is it super slow, but it doesn't support 3TB hard drives. Not only does this support larger drives, it uses SATA II and supports RAID. Now all I need is a slick deal on some 3TB drives!
I am an informed consumer. Am I cool yet? Still too cool for a signature. |
