I've tried using my card and Paypal...it won't go through. I'm apprehensive to call them because I'm using the EPP thing and I don't know how shady that is.

I experienced the same issue. In my case, the CC company had blocked the charge as possibly fraudulent. After confirming the charge, I still couldn't place an order, so I called Panasonic and a rep told me that their system limits order attempts to only two or three attempts before rejecting all orders for 24 hours. I was able to successfully place an order only after clearing up the fraud issue and then waiting 24 hours from when I last tried ordering.

I finally received my TV yesterday but it came in damaged. The tv screen was cracked and I called customer support which was a complete nightmare. To make long story short after placing 3 calls, the customer rep stated I would receive my return labels via email in 1-3 days. Since when did email take 1-3 to receive? I think I'm going to call my credit card company to stop that payment. Any one else have this experience?

First off you should have never signed for it before you inspected it for damages. You need to always tell the delivery person you will be inspecting the TV before you sign the delivery receipt. If they dont want to let you then refuse delivery. The box comes apart fairly easily and you should always power it on also. Most delivery guys will be understanding if you tell them theres 20 bucks in it for them if you can check the TV and everything is OK.

Once you sign the delivery receipt you are accepting that all items are in working order and good condition.

My UT50 showed up today. The screen was cracked. Luckily I checked for damage before signing for the tv. Also, the bottom of the box was covered in black warehouse dust. It stained my carpet and now I'm trying to get the shipping company to pay for a carpet cleaner. These tvs are being shipped in their original boxes without any additional packaging and then being moved around through multiple shippers and warehouses. Be careful where you put the box down and check for damages before you accept delivery.

Am I reading this wrong or does this set only have 2 HDMI inputs? Really thinking about pulling the trigger but that would kill it for me.

Don't think so. You are signing that there is no visible damage to the product. No way you are saying it is in good working order. Why would you make a statement like that?

Never been thru that and I have received broken items that were replaced. I can just see the FedEx man standing there while you open the box, take the tv out and plug it in to see if it works. Not

Really, not? Go on over to avs forums and see what the response is. That is the advice that has been given over on a highly respected audio video site for YEARS. Most companies, Pauls, Amazon, Cleveland Plasma ETC, use freight companies not UPS ot FedEx. Its not that big a deal for a delivery guy to take 10 minutes to do that. Most even offer to help you put the stand onto the TV. And theres no need to take the TV out, you pull 4 plastic clips off the box, pull the top off, and the TV is right there. If all you have is threshold delivery have an extension cord there and plug it in. Simple as that.

You are right. I should not have said good working order. Just that you received a box that didnt look like it had been hit by 10 fork lifts.

Still easier to refuse delivery by checking for a broken screen than signing that you receive a prdoct and have to deal with the after effects. Like this poor person is doing. You all can do what ever you like but, myself, I will inspect deliveries before signing off on them especially when its a "big ticket" item like a PDP.
