Better and cheaper (due to free shipping) than the JX310 deal imho; here is the closest comparison I could find. It's the z90 vs jx300 because they don't have the jx310 listed in their comparison website, but the jx300 is basically the jx310 anyway:

Z90 better at:
- 3" touchscreen instead of 2.7" non-touchscreen
- 38MB internal memory in case you have no memory card for some reason
- 1/2000 second max shutter speed is better than 1/1800 second
- slightly more powerful flash

Toss-up:
Z90 has worse wideangle aperture but catches up and passes the JX310 as you zoom in, which is when you need larger aperture the most (f/3.9-4.9 on the Z90 vs. f/2.6-6.2 on the MX310). To be fair f/4.9 isn't that much better than f/6.2--both cameras will struggle at long-range shots in low-light settings. But every little bit helps and f/6.2 is just that much worse than f/4.9.

The bottom line:
Compared to the MX310, I think this Z90 is better. The Z90 is cheaper due to the free shipping; and it has a larger LCD, touch capability, and arguably better aperture range.
