I'd go if the snow was decent. Last season sucked, there was no snow in December.

It might take you to the checkout page, but you can't actually book this without an activation code.
i.e., I can select weekend dates using the 2FREE code, and it shows $0, so it seems like it works. But on the final page where you enter your personal information and credit card and click the "Book your stay now" button, you will get an error "The Activation Code you entered is invalid. Please check the spelling" At least, that's my experience. |

1) THERE IS NO ACTIVATION CODE. PEOPLE NEED TO QUIT BEGGING FOR AN ACTIVATION CODE. YOU ENTER YOUR GSR PLAYER'S CARD NUMBER AS THE "ACTIVATION CODE".
2) Blackout dates are 10/5 and 10/6 3) Asking for someone else's GSR card number to get a 'free' room is a huge YMMV - if the names don't match, you're likely to get charged full price if they don't cancel your reservation first (as the name on the card won't match the name on the reservation). And yes, I've seen it while waiting in line to check in. 4) I also have noticed that in some browsers, in some instances, and depending on how you enter things in their website - it will show you a $0 room without an activation code. Again, when you get down there, it can be a YMMV. Yes, this works just fine. I've got reservations over Veterans Day weekend. |

So are you saying if you received the offer you don't need an activation code? Because you most certainly do if not. I have stayed at GSR numerous times, have my player's card and did exactly what you said. It says the activation code is incorrect. So either you are not giving correct information or this code is limited to select GSR player's card numbers. There is a spot for GSR player's card number and a separate box for activation code. Entering the same number for both did not work. Maybe it is based on dates selected? I think I will just call the number you are showing and see if it works using it that way. This is totally ymmv and based on receiving the offer. I wasn't eligible. Your only option would be to try and use someone else's number but then as the previous poster said you will probably pay full price. This deal isn't real for most folks. Too bad because I like GSR

I agree, it's completely YMMV as far as the offer working on your GSR card, but that some people who haven't gotten the offer may still be eligible. |

If you received the postcard that I posted - you should be good. Otherwise, it's going to be a YMMV. Also; I've noticed that many casinos are deactivating cards if there isn't activity on the card in xxxx amount of months/years, to save on marketing/promotions. Circus Circus has knocked theirs down to like six months, as I had to get a new card the last time I was there (it had been 9 months - not that I was against that, as I got new "new member" coupons and such). |
