How bad of an idea would it be to buy 6 of these for a 9" $150 mattress?

Would be horrible as a bed, but ridiculously comfy for short periods.

and perhaps read the story of the Princess and the Pea! There would be no support! Typically foam mattresses have different composition throughout so in the 9" - perhaps 6" of a firmer on the bottom and then 3" of a softer foam near the top. By adding these together, you'd probably suffocate from falling so deep!

Makes sense. I moved a few weeks ago and had to leave my queen Tempurpedic at my parent's place because it wouldn't fit in the car. (And god knows how to transport that thing!) Now I'm just trying to buy something with free shipping so I don't have to deal with tranporting it. I guess I'm reaching for straws. Thanks for the response.

Rent a uhaul for $29. Or a home depot truck. They are awesome, the sides drop down so you can load the truck from any side. I moved to without any help using a home depot truck. (well actually the landlord helped up the one flight of steps but, I loaded and unloaded the truck alone.)

Search Overstock perhaps and consider looking at what's available at Ikea if you have one in your neighborhood? Look for NOT made in China. Also, you do NOT need anything more than 8" total unless you just like a high bed and don't like to use risers. You can build your own mattress with layers of firmness if you buy latex (I did) but IDK about memory foam as I ruled them out b'c they have a reputation for "sleeping hot!"

I "think" Angel Bed might be a Tempur-pedic knock off. Bed in a box, Night Therapy and Spa Sensations are right up there for satisfaction along with Tempur-pedic. (I traded in my Selectc Comfort air bed and bought an all latex mattress from sleepez.com ... I love it but it wasn't cheap.)

Not sure but I thought Home Depot and other truck rental places charged by the mile IN ADDITION to the rental fee. If so, that can add up fast when you calculate the distance between store - old home - new home - store and it's more than a few miles so just keep that in mind.

Kohl's only allows a total of 2 coupons so first you'd have to determine if the 15% off is better than the free shipping. Then, I'm still not sure you can stack two %s... but just know you'd be losing the free shipping and that should give you an idea of how much you'd give up to get another 15%...

Another vote for Bed in a Box. We got ours 4 years ago after sleeping on Tempur-Pedic for about that long. The price of a king from Tempur was off the charts, so we gave BinaB a shot and really like the bed. Our guests who sleep on the Tempur queen ALSO like that!
