This. I mean generally it's all preference. Flat fronts look sharp and clean on me, but when I wear any pants with pleats it looks like I have a sloppy front butt.

pretty sure nobody should ever buy these. Gabardine + double pleats + cuffs = fashion disaster.

As so many posts on slickdeals, why don't the posts stick to the value or lack of the actual products? It becomes arguments etc. that have no merit since it's personal preference on style etc.

I'm 24 and I wear both pleated/cuffed and flat-front/no cuff pants. It has nothing to do with age, but everything to do with comfort. If you need a particular style of pants to "look good" then you're doing something else wrong.

Anyone who wears these gabardine pants with a bow tie would have to be a spy, right?

I wouldn't get these but I think they look fine. Just get the right size for yourself and keep them nicely ironed

I think you guys are all missing the point.

not just pleats...DOUBLE PLEATS.

Single pleats can be cut to look great...but if you think you need double pleats for your pants to be comfortable then you are doing something wrong (probably wearing the wrong cut/size of pants). Pants can be made to fit you just fine with no pleat or a single pleat. Double pleats just make you look like a baggy sack of poo.

Actually, I take that back. If you go to Nordstrom, you will find unfinished pants, and they ask you what you want, cuffed or not. Again, personal preference, but I always side with flat and no cuff.

Ha...I did not see the double pleats. That is certainly more 80s style.

why do they have to pay slickdeals by offering its unique code? just make up a code, go here and post the deal, pass the saving to us. maybe it will save us $2 instead next time around.

pleated pants are and look very dated. at the moment.

however, that being said... there are different types of pleats - some stand out more than others.

second, a lot depends upon demographics. where you live, and what age group.... i'll just leave that comment at that and not generalize about which age group and which locations have these tendencies. (in addition to income issues - people with less income probably tend to keep their clothing longer or buy second hand clothing....)

around here, if you have pleated pants you stand out like a sore thumb.

there are always caveats... personally, i don't own any pleated pants anymore - they've been out of style for some time - and personally i think i look much better in them. of course, trends have a way of changing such opinions.
