I'm looking for a text to speech program (preferably free).
I'm taking a course and I will have an electronic text book. While I'm at my desk at work, I can listen to music, books, etc. But I can't really read. So my MASTER plan is to have my ebook transcribed into speech (mp3) and then do my homework while doing my job. I'm allowed my android phone which plays mp3's or I can have an mp3 player. I used to have a few text to speech programs several years ago which sounded like a 70's robot and it was a free program. But if I paid 10 or so bucks they had different voices which sounded more natural. So do yall have a recommendation for the best option for a text to speech program that would meet my needs, preferably free. Having a great time and visiting family are mutually exclusive.
