One thing I did learn about Lowes website, and you folks may already know this, but the store manager I worked with told me the website has a stock "buffer" built-in so as to not oversell. The website said the Brooklyn store had 1, but they actually had 3 all brand new.

FYI, I think the trick to finding one that has been marked down is that there only has to be 1 left. The two stores I found that had the clearance price (the other was in Brick, NJ) showed 0 availability online, but when I called they stated they had one available @ 799. The first one was sold before I could get there...but the one in Freehold had no price tag on it, so I guess no one bought it...

No go on Lowes PM in NJ as they dont stock it..

It was easy to accomplish. Lowe's 110% policy is pretty cut and dry. The only thing that actually required manager approval was the additional 10% off movers coupon on top of the price policy. This manager did it. Good stuff!


I'd also like to know if anyone else has taken advantage of the Lowes policy. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw the grill at Home Depot.

Lowes in Toms River, NJ does not do this policy. Ordered my dad a new lawn mower last week. Got the email it was be ready in 20 minutes. I drove there 45 minutes after the email and the when i handed the csr my info she said i canceled it. I was like no i didn't and another csr looked at the screen and said oh i canceled that. The original csr said why and the other csr said oh we are out of stock and then she looked at me and said oh i should have called you. Fortunately i work 3 miles up the road and then just left and drove to the home depot.

I hope the Summit is still made well. I bought one of the new Genesis stainless ones, and they have cheapened the materials. Still a good grill, but definitely not the same.

No go in Phoenix. Was told that our Home Depots are "year round" stores and thus dont clearance grills. Sounds fishy, because they always clearance outdoor furniture here.
