I don't remember never seen a q for 50% off, but has anybody notice that the q ends in "05" isn't that a $1.40 off?
am I missing something humm?
The trailing 5 on the UPC is just the check digit. The relevant digits are the 00 (prompts cashier to enter the amount). This MQ has the 13 digit UPC beginning w/a "9". This style of MQ was NOT recognized by the old registers. Not sure on the new ones.
Also, no idea if the register will be able to interpret the long bar code, but the UPC portion didn't scan as written (9 957430 000005). It scanned as 1971434000005, which doesn't fit either of the MQ UPC formats.
Need to test the darn thing and see if the register overheats.

The coupon from Parade Magazine does NOT scan and when the numbers are entered manually, it comes up "no matching item found".
I tried it tonight. I had a cashier and an asst. manager try it. No go as is. The asst. manager said she would talk to the SM to see if they can do the math on a calculator and try to enter the reduced price but she wouldn't know until Tuesday. I asked if that would prohibit the RR from printing and she had no idea.
Some people need a sympathetic pat on the head ... with a hammer.
