I can't find much worth buying.. there's an hp sleekbook 6 for $849 that might net you $550+ after ebay fees and such. That'd be ~127k points (assuming theres no exclusions and no cap). But its a big leap of faith to be on the hook for that many points
They do have a 30 day return policy.. hmm

So essentially your open sky purchase is for free!
well not directly. You are still forced to spend that $50 with Amazon. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Agreed.. they are super overpriced and I don't think they have anything useful to sell. How about this? [opensky.com]

Well that was just an example... How about a $50 Shell gift card for 7450 points? Gas gift cards are always welcome.

This is from the "details" of the offer from Mypoints:

This offer valid on purchases up to $500 per household. If you cancel, exchange or return your purchase, Points awarded for your original transaction will be deducted from your account.

Points are available until 9/30/12, or until the maximum number of Points have been claimed. Once the maximum number of Points have been claimed, the offer will no longer be available and you will be directed back to the MyPoints website.

Your Points will be credited within 30 days of completing the transaction.

OpenSky points are different from Points earned in the MyPoints program and may not be used for MyPoints rewards.

I believe what that refers to is there is a separate point system on Opensky - For your purchases on Opensky, there is a Rewards Club, that awards you points for extras on their site for your purchases with them. So while you get a point award from Mypoints for the purchase via their referral link, you also get points awarded from Opensky for their site.

For example, I got 500 points on Opensky just for signing up, and am awarded 10 Opensky points for each $ I spend with them.

I'm sitting on a $100 VISA GC that I received for taking part in an online focus group recently. I was planning on using it to buy a $100 Amazon GC anyways as there is something on there that I want to buy. So if I do this deal, I'll not only get my $100 Amazon GC that I wanted, but I'll get enough points from OpenSky to buy another one? I just want to make sure I'm getting this right before I pull the trigger.
