I'll call them on my break. This does make my head hurt.

EDIT - Hi guys, I just called asking about the offer, spoke to a guy (naturally I didn't get his name, HURRR DURRR), And I asked if the points to be credited are Opensky points or Mypoints and he said "They are mypoints" And I said "Okay, so for every $ I spend at Opensky.com, you are telling me I will receive 150 Mypoints" and he said, "Yes, that's correct."

There ya have it people, I'll take a vodka and cranberry, kthxbai.
So I guess you are planning on getting $500 worth of stuff

Points are available until 9/30/12, or until the maximum number of Points have been claimed. Once the maximum number of Points have been claimed, the offer will no longer be available and you will be directed back to the MyPoints website.

so from what it sounds like, if all goes according to plan, I can buy up to $500 worth of products on open sky, then I should receive mypoints that are good for a $500 gift card? So essentially you should be getting $500 worth of products for free correct?

This is truly confusing and this really scares me:

Points are available until 9/30/12, or until the maximum number of Points have been claimed. Once the maximum number of Points have been claimed, the offer will no longer be available and you will be directed back to the MyPoints website.

How do you figure? As best I can tell you are earning opensky points not MyPoints, per the terms copied in the above comments.

I think mypoints just get you some insider-access to events and stuff, nothing meaningful. Correct me if i'm wrong though.
If you go through mypoints, it says for sure it's 150 points spent per $1 at opensky.

Why would you be concerned? If you go through MyPoints and click the 150 point/dollar offer and it returns you back to MyPoints, that means the points are gone.

It took me numerous tries to get through to a person. I think their phones are a little swamped with people trying to figure this thing out. The guy I talked to said they had gotten a lot of calls on it.

I don't know about you guys, but I just bought $500 worth of stuff. Worst case scenario I use AMEX return protection, best case I break very close to even with giftcards.

Okay...did the guy confirm you about 150 mypoints?

This is useless!

This is only for status on the opensky site.

This is ONLY opensky points. Nothing else.

Me too, but no where that email says that 150 per $ spent will get you "mypoints". Even it says "OpenSky points are different from Points earned in the MyPoints program and may not be used for MyPoints rewards."...that's fishy....they may be talking about giving OpenSky point...

I saw another post someone is about to confirm from my points!
That's weird. My email was from MyPoints, just like the many that they send out and you get 5 points for clicking through even if you don't take the offer. The subject heading read "150 Points per dollar with OpenSky! Hurry! Points available for a limited time!" and in the body of the email it confirms it.
