Sears 7 pc patito dining Set $225 Store pickup

I had bought this like 6 months back for @450.

Placed an order for store pickup. Got order confirmation. Then an hour later, received an email saying my order was cancelled due to there not being enough stock. You think a store employee cancelled my order and bought it for himself? Can I call Sears and ask for giftcard for my trouble?

this is a $800 set on sale for $225... so should i get the $1600 which is 8 times the price... will it last 16 years instead of 2 years? do people buy these things with long term use in mind.. i would rather replace them every 2 years at $200 then keep one for 16 years

when you order did they show only one in stock? it could of been used as a floor model.. i dont know if the really see what you got it for when they pull it.. or know the original price
