Help looking for a Tablet
Was looking at getting a tablet, which ones would you guys recommend. I am looking for a 10" to do ebook reading, websurfing, and watch movies on. I am not a fan of Apple...never have been. I would like either a USB port or microUSB and a headphone jack. I only need wireless, not planning on putting it to a plan. When I took a survey to see which one was best for my uses the top picks for me were the Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Acer Iconia A510. Of them which would you guys recommend and I am also curious as to why or you can recommend something else. Thanks

You must be looking at an old survey.
As mentioned, it depends on budget, but I got the ASUS Transformer (TF101) when it came out a year or so ago and still love it and surprisingly have no desire to get the latest and greatest. If however I needed to get one today or soon, I'd probably get the ASUS Transformer Infinity or the Nexus 10" once it comes out. Good luck! |

Right now i am more worried about performance and how well the tablet holds up to travel and normal wear and tear. So i am not looking too much at price. looking for best value over the cheapest or top of the line that has bad customer service on updates. I am at the early stages of searching.
And thanks for the replies too |

Consider getting a tab. with 3G/4G since there are prepaid plans avaiable. Galaxy Tab 2 7.7 4G, Xoom 3G/4G Also, wait 1 month for the release of MS Surface RT since it seems every 6 months the top tab. spot changes. The best 4.1 JB tab. right now is the ASUS Transformer Infinity TF700 with working Wifi/GPS, tough gorrilla glass and a 1200p IPS screen. With the docking keyboard you can get 12-20 hrs of work done. Here is a alway current listing of the Best Android tablets - CNET Auto Upadated Reviews [cnet.com] For more detail on the TF700 and other Tabs. check out Notebookcheck.net Reviews [notebookcheck.net] I have the iPad 2-32GB and Nexus 7-16GB, both aren't that great since theres no built-in microSD slot for sharing photos from a camera. This is puzzling since even the $200 HQ Chinese Tabs. have Full USB, microUSB, HDMI, microSD all built-in one Tab. The Microsoft Surface RT (Oct. 26) is also a contender for best tab. It has the smooth Windows RT, a Mg strong case. Working Wifi is still a ? and so is how buggy it is. I have a mostly Mg Sony Vaio laptop and the Mg Wifi is ok-weak. Metal(like Alu.,Mg, Fe, Ti) casing tend to interefere with 2.4/5Ghz signals more than ABS plastic/carbon fiber. For the most futureproof speedy 4.1JB tabs, look for quad core tabs.with the 2012 Tegra 3, 2012 S4, 2013 S4 Pro, 2013 Tegra 4, and Exynos 4217. For toughen tabs, look for strong gorrilla glass screens and buy a carbon fiber case/folio. Avoid the full-metal back ASUS TF201(Bad Wifi), full metal Acer Tabs( Weak Wifi) and HQ Chinese Tabs. with RK3066 at all cost. The good iPad series and TF700 are semi-metal back tabs.
