I picked one of these up at my local Lowes. In the process of fabricating a base ring to fit the Weber Gold i just got at OSH last week.

It was $29.99. Now on clearance for $16.88 - So YMMV

So I took a look to see if it would fit the Spirit 210. Looks like I could bend 1 bracket to fit one side, and then for the other side, I would have to drill 2 holes for the support bracket. If I can get it just a couple milimeters off the fire box, it should spin without grinding fire box or hood right? I would have to remove the grates for cooking but that seems ok . Comments/suggestions before I try this?
The spirit 210 should have the exact same box and hood as my spirit 310. I didn't want to have to drill holes or grind the grill box to make this fit. I found that if I set it up so that the spit just rest in the existing slots for rotisserie it worked fine, but only with the lid open. If you try to close the lid it comes in contact with the rotisserie rod and prevents it from rotating. To fix this problem I used some 37 cent spring clips to prop the lid open by 1/4".

I used these

I cut the vinyl tips off so they wouldn't melt and clipped them to the front corners of the box. Now when I close the lid it rests on the clips and keeps the lid from closing completely, allowing the rotisserie to rotate freely. Sure there is a small gap around the grill for heat to escape, but it's pretty minimal.

what did you guys use to grind the existing slot so that the squared rod will fit?

Having same issue on my genesis.

Did you have to grind and open the holes larger on both sides of the grill?

Thanks for the pics!

Got one yesterday, but it doesn't fit Weber Genesis (2009) E-330. I wish it did, as this rotisserie attachment looks very well made. Mad

Edit: I was able to grind (after a lot of hesitation) so that the collar fits directly in the grill without using the spit rod bracket.

I used a dremel rotary tool to drill on both sides of the grill. Although the rotisserie attachment does not directly sit on the second side, I had to grind it enough for it to freely rotate. Hope this helps.

Thanks man!

I used a file to open both holes a little larger ... works like a charm!

Chicken turned out to be delicious!

Whoa nelly, that is a professional diagram. Your either an architect or an engineer.
I always find it funny when people assume doctors, artists, scientist, lawyers, etc., are not reading and dealing on slick steals, 2!
