Looking for good sports package for hubby - possible Direct or Dish, appreciate your advice

We gave up cable awhile ago - keep in budget. I know hubby is missing his sports, especially in the fall. I'm crunching the numbers and wondering if we could do satellite with a good sports package. He doesn't need everything, just decent coverage of football and occasional hockey. We don't have great cable options where we live. AT&T was just too expensive for what we got. We've had WOW cable and weren't pleased.

Right now we have the new rabbit ears and an antennae. Hubby watches on local channels or goes to a sports bar with his buddies for an important game that's not televised.

What would you recommend for satellite? Direct or Dish? What's got the better bang for your buck when it comes to sports?
