Sony Playstation 3D display bundle $159 @bestbuy.com

I'm going to order one and give it a shot.

I figure I can use my best buy card if I don't like it take it back..

I'll let you know how it compares before I had a Samsung 24 T240HD which I loved, but it's broken now. Anyone have an extra for parts let me know.

I was actually thinking about this. When the monitor eventually becomes OOS, what would the replacement be? Could you potentially make the argument that you deserve the next model up, 3d television? Just curious.

I have 2 (I tried exchanging so I've been through 4 and all had this issue) and both have the issue of randomly losing signal leaving the screen entirely blank for a few seconds.

You only get one replacement ever. They will try to fix it. If they can't they'll exchange it. Once it's exchanged the warranty is over. Whether that's in 3.5 years or in 31 days. The warranty is for the monitor you exchanged out and not for the new one.

Dont they only replace the TV once though? After that the extended warranty gets voided on the new one.

Really want to buy one but decided not to .... after reading reviews on Amazon. Although price has dropped to $159, I don't see it as cheaper. Basically, Bestbuy is trying to get rid of this stock knowing people will buy a 4-yr protection plan. Thus, to me, price is still at $195 something.

Hm ...Has Sony ever addressed anything about the red light of death issue? I guess Sony is not as reliable as it used to be. Before everything was Sony...now it is replaced by Samsung.

It is just this set that seems to really suck it up. Not Sony TV's overall. I have an NX720 and an HX820 and they are both quite a bit more refined sets(in terms of picture quality and durability due to gorilla glass) than the comparable d6500 and d7000 2011 samsung sets. It really depends on the set. Samsung and Sony still offer very comparable tv's.


Thanks op, ordered. I am a silver member so I have 60 days for PM, Return, getting extended warranty. puts it going out right at black friday. Hopefully it will be decent enough and will drop to $100 for me.

If u can't get it from the Kmart deal. Best Buy has it for $160. $10 more

Seems like every unit has a problem. Stay far away.

I have to say I to haven't heard a lot of good things about it. Maybe if it his 99 I will pull the trigger. Heck just to get another pair of glasses is 50 bucks.

I know 2 people with them for over a year who have had no issues. I would say this is probably a product worth getting the Best Buy extended warranty stuff on tho, because yeah, there seem to be some problem units out there.
