Looks good TU! Going to have to refuse shipment on this laptop that I ordered a couple days back because I think i5 having a 17" screen. I have plenty of screens to hookup to. Plus I have a couple best buy cards I need to use up.

This seems like a pretty decent deal for a budget laptop. I've been comparing this to the HP Envy coming up, but its a better processor, similar weight, and just slightly lower battery life. Shame there is no store pickup, else I could go and take a look at this exact model.

The reviews from dell.com are very positive

but I worry about Dell quality. We're just dumping a vostro which is 2.5 years old from Dell. Battery has died already, noisy fan, and now windows 7 license issues which Dell refuse to fix.

Stupid question, but can this be connected to a projector that displays a greater resolution than this monitor's display and work? For instance, if the projector were 1920x1080 or 1920x1200, would I be able to connect a video or presentation to the projector and have it work at that resolution? Thanks!

Got one....thought we really want an ultrabook with similar specs around the 600 - 700 range. any ideas?
