I ended up cancelling my Amazon pre-order for the Care Package edition a couple days ago and going with the Hardened.

The price didn't seem too bad with that drone being in there, but the drone has a lithium battery in it, so I would not be able to get it shipped to me; I would have to have it sent home and then have my wife mail me just the game, which would take forever to get here.
Then there is the quality of plastic on the care package itself. I thought it would be thicker plastic, making it rugged and good for normal use like storage and transport. But during an unboxing I saw that it was really cheap material.
And then there is the drone. I wouldn't ever use it. It would just sit there and collect dust and take up space.
So Hardenend Edition it is.

EDIT: Ugh, and the Care Packages are available again on Amazon right now? I don't know why I still want to get one, but I do. I must resist.

For Halo 4 and Black Ops usually the best deals are the pre-order ones. Historically Halo and COD games hold their value for almost a year so I don't think either will drop in price quickly. There may be some Black Friday deals, but wouldn't bet on it.

Decisions, Decisions....Like most SD'ers I have a backlog of games. Most older games I bought under $15 bucks. My price point for games I'm not freaked into having right away. Not a huge deal I have the game release day but like I stated I really got burned by Gears of War 3. Buying that and MW3 at the same time and not touching Gears of War 3 Until December then I see it half off everywhere. I felt like such a dunce. Plus I'm still waiting to find a good deal on Sniper Elite V2. What is it with that game? Half a year old and still at 40 bucks? Life's tough on a shooter gamer. Too much content not enough time to play it and high chance of getting burned on an over-hyped shooter.

I got tired of waiting for Sniper Elite V2 too. I got it used at Best Buy for $29 with a $10 off used coupon then the next week they had the new one for the same price for the @Gamer specials last month. I think it will be one of the Black Friday specials but I'll be playing Black Ops II by then.

I'm torn between H4, AC3 and BLOP2. I don't think I should get all 3 cause 1 will just sit there for a little. I'll probaby wait on AC3 as I have BLOP2 already preordered.

DEWXP is back, but this time PepsiCo's pairing it with Halo 4. I was hoping for 24 hours of 2XP to use on Black Ops 2.

Is it just me or is the hype for this game quite low for a CoD title?
