Borderlands 2: Law and Order <3, Torchlight 2 every so often, I play some D3 once a week, Guild Wars 2: Craftathon is going slowly.
and I'm tempted to pick up MoP but will probably wait till it goes 50% off or w/e.

I've got Tuesday off this week, so gaming during my day off will probably be limited to Spec Ops The Line, which just came in. Maybe some more Sleeping Dogs as well, but I really need to catch up on some sleep that day. It's finally starting to hit 0 F degrees here and that lack of sunlight (and subsequent lack of Vit D) is taking its toll on my body.

From what I have been reading, the gameplay is standard "move forward, 2 or 3 waves of enemies come at you, clear them out, move forward" fare. I have seen some complaints about the way the guns feel and I have seen them praised as well, so it is something I have to spend more time with. The great story is something that made me want it though. And the colors from the demo, those purples hues in the sky and the orange sunlight coming through the sand and clouds. Being set in Dubai also intrigued me. So I'll get to it in a couple days. |

completed my new build a couple weeks ago, and started with Assassin's Creed I. Really doing it justice, aren't I? I want to start at the beginning since ACIII is coming out soon. Still need to get brotherhood. The pausing/freezing issue when getting a flag or starting a fight is getting annoying. I've also only exited the game twice, as I can never remember how to exit completely out from one of the game menus

I'm not sure you'll still feel like playing 3 if you plan to play through 1, 2, Brotherhood, and Revelations first

might be win-7 specific or 64-bit. I've seen some boards that suggest it's a network/internet connection issue that, by simply unplugging my network cable, fixes the issue. Others have said they have to uninstall and reinstall every time. Not worth the hassle. i don't like starting a series with the newest game, tho. I'd rather play it from game 1 and up to the newest one. |

Rumble, young man, rumble. These are interesting times we live in. Punctuation is key. Fruit is nature's candy.

-Environmental hazards add a bit to the game. They aren't super-important or new to the genre, but it is nice to have a bit of extra choices on how to take some guys out. Popping a round into a window and watching all the sand built up behind it burst through, taking a group of enemies over the side of a building does feel cooler than just shooting them in the chest. -I still like the environment and look of the game. Ravaged Dubai is in interesting setting. And like I mentioned before, the purple hues in the sky look great. For as many modern-setting war games as we have had, I can't recall one that is just sand, sand everywhere. Covering the ground, filling the sky during storms, behind doors and windows. It is almost a character itself. -Character movement and animation is very janky. The animation hiccups or is missing frames when doing certain actions. Movement feels pretty bad. I do like how you don't have to hold 'A' to sprint or roadie run; once you start you can let go. -Good soundtrack, score, and VA. Also, Nolan North (though this is a bad thing for some I guess. I have seen people complain that every time he speaks, they picture Nathan Drake). -Great story so far. I haven't really gotten too deep into it, but I am excited to see where it goes. I have definitely bought into the hype over the story and its "Heart of Darkness" and Apocalypse Now comparisons, so hopefully that doesn't prove to be a mistake. -AI is pretty competent. Allies shoot who I mark for them to take out and stay out of my line of sight (something Binary Domain could have done better, always walking in front of my while I am firing or lining up a shot, grrrrrrr). Enemies flank and don't just stand there waiting to be shot. But since it is the modern style of shooter where you move forward until triggering a spot where they will come out in waves, it does have plenty of times where you can just aim at the spot they will spawn out of and pick them off as they run in. -Gunplay is....okay. Nothing special really. The guns don't feel like they have too much of an effect on the enemy when shooting them, which is always bad. Playing Binary Domain right now with its fantastic combat is definitely making the combat in Spec Ops seem worse. I haven't really tried to write something good in a while, so it is just a random mess of thoughts up there. I hope I get to beat it soon, but I am so in love with Binary Domain and Akai Katana right now that they will be taking up my limited amount of free time for a good while. If you are still thinking of picking it up then I would say for the $28 that Amazon Warehouse Deals is currently asking, it is worth it. Not Game of the Year but not a terrible game at all. If you want to wait, it should get cheaper and might be $9.99 or $14.99 during an end-of-year GameFly sale later on. So there you go. |

Double post I know, but it is almost the weekend and it looks like I might get another day off next week.
So I will be playing DoA 5, Splinter Cell Double Agent (just started it), some more Sleeping Dogs, Akai Katana, and Binary Domain. I should be getting my internet hooked up tomorrow though (finally! I will finally have my 9GB-capped, 300k speed internet!!!!!! god this place sucks...) so that list will change a bit. I'll be downloading JSR HD, Rock Band Blitz, maybe JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, MvC Origins, a patch for Deus Ex Human Revolution so I can play The Missing Link (dl'd it but it won't work offline), and costumes for TTT2 and DoA5. So those will be what I put time into (probably will only end up playing JSR HD though). |

EA/Origin are such nice folks that they gave away Bad Company 2 for free, so I feel obligated to get at least 20 or so minutes in this weekend.
