Both links go to the Death Star set.
And the executor is $336, not $335.

Great find OP. I think I'm going to finally have to jump on getting one.

Also, I submitted to Amazon for price match.

Agreed....While I understand some people are trying to re-live their grade school years and pay quite silly premiums for these....they could have at least included free shipping for these plastic blocks.

These things really start to appreciate in value once they're discontinued. The Millennium Falcon goes for over $1500 now..

That said, would love to build one but just have no room to store a 50" Star Destroyer.

No. Thats the small set. He is referring to the original LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon [amazon.com] I wanna say it went for around $400-$500 originally.

"This is it the biggest LEGO Star Wars model ever made - 5195 pieces"

It was pretty frakin awesome. We used to go visit the one on display at the lego store laugh out loud

Edit: I linked the wrong one. Herped when I should have derped. Corrected link.

I just ordered one of these from Wally. Been putting it off for years but now at this price, and I'm sure it's about to be discontinued, it's a pretty good deal.

There was an older big Death Star a few years ago -- it was more of the outside shape (looked much more like a real Death-star) -- no interior however. (because "to scale," people inside the Death Star would be little dots, not minifigs). I think that one also listed for $399 but I got it on a sale at Lego for either $329 or $349. I've seen people askling $1500 for that set now. I'm not saying it will sell for that, but.. it's nice to know there is a high value to them. The problem, of course, is that ideally, you're not supposed to open them or build them -- but that defeats the whole purpose!

This set is very different in that it is "playable," with it's colorful interior with lots of things to interact with, and lots of minifigs (some of which are very rare and valuable, apparently). I've seen this set for sale as "new, but with no minifigs." In other words, people would buy it just to "harvest" the poor little guys, and then sell off the rest of the set. I think that's cruel.. separating the minifigs from their Lego home, but, oh well, that is what people do...
