However, the SLI vsync stuttering issue that Nvidia eventually acknowledged and claimed was only affecting 600 series cards also affects my 460 SLI setup, It appears to be relatively common with SLI users of both 400 and 500 series cards, and 600 series before they fixed it. I am running the newest drivers 306.23 from 9-14-2012 and basically with vsync on in SLI there is horrible stuttering once per second where frames get dropped. I personally have forced vsync off at all times and although this leads to some annoying screen tearing, it's not nearly as bad as the stuttering. Your other options would be to disable SLI for games that don't need the power so you can enable vsync or to use older drivers from probably 6-9+ months ago before they introduced the problem. This may be a non-issue if you don't use vsync anyway because you don't notice much screen tearing on your particular setup. Ultimately, I would probably try to sell your card for $75-120 depending on how good of a card you have and get this instead, it also leaves you open for getting another 660 in a year or two when you need it to SLI and where they have already fixed the SLI vsync stuttering on the 600 series. GTX 660 vs HD 7870 [xbitlabs.com] With the $200 AR 7870 being slightly cheaper and including the Sleeping Dogs bundle, I would definitely go with the 7870 over this deal. |

Here is a good review, which puts it somewhere above the 7870 in some cases and between the 7870 and 7850 in others. Definitely a step up from the 7850, but maybe about on par with the 7870 overall.
