Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Cherry MX Blue [monoprice.com]

Looks like this was just added to their catalog, no pics or anything yet, I wonder how they compare to the Reds or blacks they carry which are more expensive.

Also use coupon code "catalog12" to bring it down to the price listed above.

No pics, and I haven't bought a keyboard from monoprice yet... But I have to say every single product I've ever ordered from them as been top notch quality. Best value for each product even compared to the top name brands.

I thought the Blues were the best overall. Even though they are loudest (which could be a good or bad thing for some) and aren't good for gamers (this I believe isn't a big critique since gamers probably already know this and would stray away from the Blues)

Depends if you're into tactile feedback or not. I have a Ducky Shine 9008S w/ Cherry MX blue's and it's nothing short of pure awesomeness. Blues are chill for gaming, but I would probably go brown if that's the sole purpose I wanted a keyboard. If they had some w/ browns on Monoprice I would probably jump on this.

Why can't they show a picture of it?

I'm a little bias against monoprice after the last few times I ordered from them. Somehow my card ended up having tons of weird charges after I ordered from them. They also did end up on the news about their security. Tho that was a few years ago.

Is this full sized or TKL? No pic is sort of jarring.

I actually got blues for gaming... I know it's weird with the double tap issue, but I find blues best for my gaming needs... very weird for RTS, but that's my favorite... to each his own though, try them out and see waht you like best.

I bought one of their MX black keyboards a few months ago and its been great so far with no issues.

If they offered MX browns I would get it. After using all switches, black, red, blue, and white, brown is the best balance of tactile feedback and loudness.

Be careful about Blues; they do not have the same release point as their registration point, making quick taps on the same key nearly impossible. Blacks are the best for FPS, Blues are the loudest and alright for typing though.
I use blues and have never had an issue with doing double taps on it. It's just about getting the muscle memory to be able to do it efficiently.

I was hoping this was a deal on reds or blacks though, I've wanted to try those ones out to get a comparison. :c

But if it really were an xarmor rebrand would it be so bad? Could this possibly be the rebranded keyboard? The reviews look solid on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-...rdfocom-20 It follows the same form factor of previous monoprice - ione rebrands

I have an XArmor iOne. I had a minor problem with it after three months, but got fantastic service from them. One short phone call and I had a new, flawless keyboard two days later. No paperwork, no shipping expense, totally hassle free.

Incidentally, it has Cherry MX Browns, which I like a lot for gaming (and good for typing too).

bought a das keyboard (mx browns) a while back, and i have to say it was worth every penny. The build itself is just very very solid and sturdy, and i feel it does a great job supplementing the mx brown keys that it comes with. It is a bit boring in terms of no macros/media buttons, but the build quality itself is just so good

that being said, i don't like the fact that there is no picture being shown for this keyboard. I wouldn't want to risk it, and imo i think you would be better off saving your money to buy a das when it goes on sale. they went for pretty cheap a few months ago (<$100)

Love love love my blue switch Das Keyboard and Monoprice is one of my new favourite brands, since recently acquiring a few of their products. But there's no picture and are no reviews - it doesn't even say if it's tenkeyless or has a Num pad. Please leave a review if you get one or have had one!
