If you jumped on one of the recent barebones or motherboard deals that did not include an HDMI port and would like to use that hardware for an HTPC, here is "the missing link":

$1.99 (2 for $3.79) - Male DVI-I to Female HDMI Adapter [meritline.com]

WARNING: There is a good chance that this will pass audio out on your specific motherboard, but there is no guarantee. It's quite possible for some (especially older) motherboards and laptops to not have audio out through the DVI output port.

The only place that sells these for less is eBay.
