How the hell can you check the specs for what I purchased? Pasting serial and part number on the outlet or in google doesnt work...

You and anybody else that needs spec information please check out the attached PDF which you can find in this link [lenovo.com] as well.

If you have purchased a new item the exact part number should be there, however if you purchased a used number you need to look at the box for in the lower right hand corner you will see a line that says Refurb from: "(Part Number Here)"

Part number examples:

ThinkPad X220t: 4298-XH3 is a refurbished 4298-27U;
ThinkCentre M91p: 7052-XF4 is a refurbished 7052-B2U
IdeaPad Z570: 1024-XC6 is a refurbished 1024-9UU
(see the attached photo for clarity)

In general the first four characters designate the base unit, the last 3 characters give exact model specifics. If the first of the last 3 characters is the letter "X" then you have a refurbished product.

If you don't want to use the pdf which will give you much more info than the actual product listing, you can always google the refurbished from part number ie. 42988-27U or 429827U, and perhaps keywords like specs, datasheet, or product details.

I always print a page of the item I buy (usually print to pdf) so there can be no discrepancy with Lenovo. On occasion they mess up a component ie AMD vs NVIDIA GPU or other incorrect hardware specs. It's also good to keep it to verify the price at which you bought the item.

Mine are CTR ( Custom to order ) , so that doesn't work.

Use the resources above to find the base specs. Base = first 4 of the product number. This will give you an idea of what the machine can have. Once you receive the item check the customizable parts/system specs ie. GPU, CPU, HDD, Optical Drives etc. If that doesn't work post your question in a thread where the OP was about customizable machines (non-outlet) lenovo.com and perhaps somebody will have a suitable answer.

I ordered the X220 tablet, it came with a somewhat visible scratch about 1.5~2 inch long on the screen, does anyone know if they will take this back?

not too sure, what was the original condition of it? New, Refurbished, scratch and dent? Sorry about the bad luck. Worst case scenarios you either pay a 15% restocking fee or just keep it

It's a refurb, on top of that, they forgot to ship me my docking station.

ouch man, yeah i would contact them monday, they may be able to do a replacement for you depending on if the scratch is more than just a buff mark on the screen. Contrary to what i have heard from other people i had a great experience with their customer service.

I already call them this past Friday, it was a big mess. Initially they told me my system is not compatible with ultrabase and told me it did not come with one. They even quote me system config that's way different then what I ordered, it turns out they were looking at the wrong unit with the wrong serial number, I have no idea why or how the wrong serial was link to my order number. I gave them the serial number off my confirmation page and they finally realized the problem and agreed to send me an ultrabase, but now with the scratch I am thinking about returning the whole thing and get something else instead. Will call them Monday and see what they say.
