It's funny, I noticed mine "cancelled out" also. Just for kicks, I clicked on the link in the email, signed in with my username and password, and now it says:

"Cannot log in due to technical difficulties..."

Actually, they have been profitable lately and their stock has gone through the roof, from 12 cents per share in 2008 to over $2.00 per share now. But I don't think it will last. As 4G gets rolled out nationwide, satellite will become as obsolete as Polaroid film.

Satellite has its advantages. Too bad that they only take effect when you are in a very remote location, where there is no cellular internet coverage and the sky is clear. They know that the technology is going to be obsolete, hence no new portable satellite radios in the last few years and more emphasis on the streaming content through their smartphone apps.

I wonder what they will do with their grandfathered lifetime customers when they decide to decommission their satellites because the ROI becomes too much of an expense...
