Best Video Editing Software?
Hi Everyone,I'm starting up on videography (particularly weddings) and was wanting know thoughts on the best video editing software? I had been particularly interested in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 but just noticed its reviews on Amazon were not too good. http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-65172...ewpoints=0 Has anyone had any problems with this and have any suggestions? Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Sony Vegas are the biggest names out there right now for video production.

+1 for Adobe Premiere to answer best video editing software. If you can't afford Premiere, then AVS Video Editor [avs4you.com] I use when doing video capture from my DVR.

This is like asking what is the best flavor of ice cream. it is all opinion based.
Asking for rep points is like asking for sex....as soon as you ask, you never get it.

I have used PP CS6 without issue but I am also not doing anything major or complex. This is a key suite of theirs and I would think it will improve. It's still the way I would lean.
Vague questions receive vague answers . . . . . .

The big names have already been thrown in the ring with the exception of Avid, but it's probably prohibitively expensive.
Another one that's interesting is Lightworks [lwks.com] which has a FREE version. If you don't want to pay for the pro version you could use SUPER to do most of the format conversion you need. Last edited by jkee; 10-02-2012 at 05:07 PM.. |

My dad uses Final Cut Pro X in a studio. But he is a hardcore video editor with 20+ years of experience.
