I've heard good things about the NEX6, but this price is a lot better. Anyone know what I would be giving up?

Namely, the NEX-6 has 1) built-in electronic viewfinder, 2) phase-detect autofocus built-in to the sensor, which should improve AF performance (which is the Achilles heel of mirrorless cameras), and 3) a more compact kit lens. All are worthy upgrades IMO, but the NEX-6 will be more than 2x as expensive at launch. This 5N is still great considering it has one of the best APS-C sensors on the market.

EDIT: I forgot to add, for people interested in strobist photography, the NEX-6 has an ISO standard compatible hotshoe which would be useful for triggering your off-camera flashes, while the 5N lacks a hotshoe. One feature the 5N has that the 6 lacks is a touchscreen LCD. For serious photographers, the NEX-6 is definitely worth the extra $, but if you just want a travel camera that takes better pictures than a point-and-shoot, the 5N would be the better deal.

NEX6 is simply the 5R with the physical controls of the NEX7. So what you would be giving up is the upgrades with the 5R... which is faster autofocus and the screen swiveling full 180.

I personally think the price of th 5N now doesn't justify those upgrades for me, and after 2 weeks with the 5N (bought it with the first price drop) i definitely love it and worth it for me using the savings for another lense.

Can't find the camera on the site for the $419 price. Only through the link on the first post. Shows $698 when searched on adorama.
