good deal for those that don't live in CA. I rather get it from Adorama for $199 no shipping and no tax. Adorama has a much better reputation than CTI and they have it in stock as well.

Interesting, I've never even heard of the RED line from WD? Is it supposed to be a little more enterprise class?

I'm not sure why the Super Biiz deal hasn't popped on here. In stock. Good site.
$173 - $10(code MOON10(one use?)) +$7 shipping... maybe there's a tax in Cali? Seems like $170 out the door? Maybe I'm dead wrong.

why have 3TB when you can have 4TB for $10 more. Hitachi drive w/ 5yr warranty. Not sure if same reliability but same company but better warranty.

Regarding the WD Red line, they talk about it in this review of a Drobo NAS:
http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/20...-flexible/ Go down to where it says "Choosing disks". Basically the reviewer said he trusts the WD Red line for its reliability in a NAS environment where there is a lot of vibration. |
