If I remember it correctly, I think I saw it. However, later it clarifies it's not available for basic student membership.

I signed up for ACM, not IEEE.

So this deal is more like $19 for One Windows 8 License.

Windows 2012 Server is already available for me (included in DS standard).

Btw, I think TechNet is better, you get 5 or 10 windows license, 5 or 10 office license. I still have 10 Windows 7 and 10 Office 2010 license from Technet.

so how did you opt in for it? on the site it says this membership does not include DS premium!

MAYBE no problem for those selling but I sure would hate to be one of those that buys a key that gets deactivated due to this. There's no way I would try selling these keys for that reason alone.

For those that signed up for IEEE, is there any opt-in necessary or just pay for the membership and wait?

I don't have access to ACM dreamspark yet but was looking at the site. Looks like you may be able to edit part of the the link on acm to match the ieee product code for french win 8. So does ACM still work with the $42 dues? I am a student who is interested in joining my university's ACM chapter so it would be beneficial either way

I think the opt in is only for the ACM membership and not IEEE. I certainly did not see any opt in fields that I had to check. Also, OP's post doesn't say anything about opting in for IEEE

so which membership did you sign up for the $19 one? Im a grad student - does this mean if i sign up for the $19 plan i can ipt in to MS dreamspark??
