There are certain sayings that just don't sound right in metric, like "I'd walk a mile for a Camel". And what about football? The announcer says, "And he's just a few centimeters short of the 40 meter line"???? Sounds a bit effeminate. Even the slogan for the website to my previous business, "Half a Mile From Heaven". It don't sound right, saying, "1 kilometer from heaven". (rockysbar.com) And what about sayings like, "Inching Along". Victory is won not in miles but in inches. Give him and inch and he'll take a mile. Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. We are the last of the hold outs and that is part of our identity as a nation, don't you think? |

What's more is that the phone provides a live preview, so you can see the flare before you shoot the image. The flare is caused by the lens, not by the digital processing, so you can surely see it before you snap the picture. DPReview has some of the best camera experts, and they studied the issue in detail [dpreview.com], and concluded: The most likely cause of the iPhone 5's purple haze is probably lens flare and internal reflections in the camera lens assembly. All lenses are susceptible to lens flare to some degree, and as you can see from the images at the top of this page, the iPhone 4S isn't immune either (ditto the iPhone 4 and competitive smartphones from other manufacturers). |

It doesn't matter much if you or others don't perceive things of this nature being part of the American cultural identity, as it's only an opinion, be it mine or yours. Some folks see it more than others, be it true or not. It's like some folks will blame everything a child does wrong, on how the parents brought the child up, and others just perceive some kids being rotten, regardless of how good or bad the parents treated them. In short, what I am saying is that my views are simply an opinion. If everyone thought the same as me, it would be a boring world. |
