I have tried several DE razors (and different soaps, including the great smelling menthol C. O. Bigelow cream [bathandbodyworks.com], with badger brushes) over the last couple of months hoping one of them wouldn't tear my face and/or neck apart, but I just can't keep from getting cut and can't keep from shaving for at the very least 20 minutes to get a close shave. My best solution now is using Hydro 3 blades - the Hydro 5 blades are good but overkill, and the Hydro 3 strip is really good and actually does lubricate and make shaving easier.

I've also found that this Shave Secret preshave oil [walmart.com] actually does a great job, and I just use it - I don't use any shaving cream or anything with it - just the oil. 3 drops on each side of my face/neck and I'm good to go.

I've tried Derby, Astra and Feather DE blades and get the same result - I get cut at least with 1 little cut no matter how careful or how long I take, plus my neck gets rubbed raw. At the very least I can check out the Dorco blades for free, and if they're worth buying again, I'll get them. If not I'll continue on with my Hydro 3s and will probably be pretty content.

I've been using them for almost a year and i love it. A pretty great shave, less irritation than most multi-blade razors i've used. And I can even get away with not using shaving cream. But i suggest trying it first. This is a great way to check them out.

I LOVE Dollar Shave Club. Seriously, your blade "may" go dull, but you can use one for a week and just toss it after that. I don't even feel bad. Just for shits and giggles I shaved on one blade for three weeks and it wasn't all that bad. I used to use one blade a month (and I have full, thick hair on my face) using gillette because they were so expensive, but with DSC I just use for a week and toss it. Can't beat the convenience for $6 a month.

Yeah I think they are smoother on my face than the Derby blades my Edwin Jagger razor came with. I hear Feather blades from Japan are the sharpest- I may man up and try those next but the Wilkinson are a happy medium.

Derby's were okay. They were a little too dull for me. I'm currently using feathers, they're very sharp and it's very easy to cut yourself. One problem of them is they dull very quickly. For the price, I dont see it to be worth. I'll probably move to Astras next.. they're supposed to be very sharp while staying within a good price range..

I think the video made me join more then the discount. though the discount did help too.
Might order these from dorcousa.com if they do a good job.
I only use a razor like once a month now because they are way to pricey now. every new model the price goes up. I have an elextric razor i use every morning, but that is on its last leg.

I have the 4 bladed one. About to try the humble twin. I do 'light' shaving. That is, just cleaning up the edges on my awesome beard and have had no problems.

Have the 4 bladed one and it lasts a month. I could go longer but why bother when I have 10 fresh ones waiting.
