Just got a new phone yesterday and I'm looking to get a MicroSD card for it. I hear that the S3 can use up to a 64GB card, so that's what I'm looking for but I have no idea how much speed matters for SD cards in cell phones or what that affects, and I'm looking for a decent price on them so that I might grab two.
Class 10 or higher, are you kidding me? Class 6 is MORE than enough for your needs. You'll only see a difference in speeds when you're either recording HD video directly to the card (which Class 6 is capable of sustaining), or if you commonly are transferring multiple gigabytes of data to and from the card (i.e. putting a full Blu-Ray movie file onto the card). Class 10 would be pointless and just a waste of money for you to get for your CELL PHONE. "Faster than class 10," i.e. UHS-1, is hey-guys-some-random-guy-on-the-street-just-sold-me-the-Empire-State-Building stupid, unless you get a crazy deal and are also using it for your SLR or professional video camera periodically. The Galaxy SIII is NOT UHS compliant. And again, even in those devices, you won't see a difference between class 6 and faster in-camera; the bonuses come when you're downloading the files back to your computer.
