As mentioned, more like the going price for this drive. For various reasons, Samsung has hung on like grim death to higher prices compared to some other drive makers.

Holdin out for prices to drop. Samsung is coming out with new SSD drives in the next month.

Proven reliability, proprietary controller, in-house q.c. from start to finish, top-notch product support, etc. keep the demand up over the competition.

This is a good price for this drive if you're not holding out for a true "slick deal". Next closest I've found at regular retail is $97.99 shipped (buydig.com)

I just paid 109 for this from Amazon last week. I see they dropped their price too, might see if I can get a credit.

Amazon already has it for the same price

$90 is a good price. I bought my first one for $140 and that was a nice deal. I've since bought 4 more for $80 each. So $80 is pretty good. The 840 and 840Pro are out soon. The 840 is slightly faster in writes while the Pro trumps in everything else. I would probably buy a few more if they go to $80 again. Best price for a decent SSD was the Kinsgston HyperX 3K for $60 no rebates, though that was sandforce chip. My favs SSDs are Samsung, Crucial, then Plextor. Time to buy for those is about $70 for the 128GB and $150 for the 256MB. I would stay away from OCZ stuff.

Buy.com also has it for $90 if you have points or tax purposes
