Not sure if they switched the hard drive (or some components) inside in the recent production that caused this(?). Or the hard drive just start failing after certain months and people start posting their problems.

I bought two a while ago and opened both of them up for the internal hard drives. I think one of them might be failing and it's only been a year so I'm kinda out of luck on the warranty.

You missed out on the Staples Seagate 3TB External that was going for 130 as others mentioned. Though the deal isn't around anymore, but price wise for a 2TB now, this is a decent deal. I'm holding out till around Black Friday to see what's available as I'm looking for parts. Hopefully there will be some good deals or it's all blasphemy OMG
