How can I avoid a Lenovo Outlet restocking fee?

Thread Details

I bought a laptop on Lenovo outlet that I no longer want (found a better deal a few days later elsewhere).

Anyway, I pulled the trigger on the new deal before looking up return policy. 15% restocking fee on a $420 laptop Frown

Any advice on how I can weasel out of this $60 fee?

The only way is to call in and cancel before they ship it, otherwise it'd be hard to get out of the restocking fee. Unless the machine is defective, in which case you can request a refund if it's within 21 days of your purchase date.

Bah, I'll try to sell it on craigslist. I have 21 days to return it, if it doesn't sell in a week I'll bite the bullet and pay the restocking fee.
