I would hate to buy the item and then not get the cords and ect. and have to pay the shipping to return it.

If I am looking for ANYTHING that is just marginally better than LCD TV speakers, is this the best and cheapest option? I just want to watch Blu Ray movies with one step above integrated speakers.

For sure better than LCD TV speakers. Worth it in my opinion

So, I need to control this with another remote? My directv remote will not also increase/decrease the volume?

Everyday I am more and more disappointed by Newegg. I guess the pictures with all of the accessories are just to entice you.... whether you actually get it, is another thing.

I bought this deal a while back, it didn't work with my time warner remote and I ended up ditching the sound bar after trying a couple universal remotes (which was a whole different headache). First the remote it has is TINY, and will get lost repeatedly. Second, the sound is better than tv speakers, but not by much. I would say to skip it and get something a little better, unless you know it will work with your current remote and are just looking for something marginally better than the TV speakers.
