As an example: if some well paid Wall Street broker loses his job he wold be eligible to collect unemployment benefits independently of the size of his baking account. And why not? he has a mortgage on his Manhattan hi-rise condo, a loan on his Porsche, college payments for kids, etc. |

and considering that the we have already lowered payroll taxes, WHO do you think is currently footing most of the bill ?
And when Obama signed the extension of UE benefits, WHO do you think again is footing the bill? Of course typical rich people who are already well-off can't just pass up something for the common good.. And people wonder why we call the rich....SELFISH These are the same people who already pay a far lower income tax then the rest of the working citizens, and still they can't help but mooch off the extra taxpayer subsidies UE... |

all countries where the unbalance of wealth ends up in destruction, its just that the rich last moments are ended horribly.. So the question is how would society balance such issues to prevent its own self-collapse.. Obviously failure to try is what will cause its own destruction.. at the end some people like to give it a PC name like class warfare when in the end its really boils down to greed and self-fishiness The problem at the end is when the rich gets dragged out in the open, tortured, tarred and feathered, they will find that nobody ( all those underneath them before ) will be there to care about stopping the mob, just like they NEVER CARED when they were living it up before... |

But the gap between very rich and the middle class continues to rise in this country. It's an interesting topic for a separate thread. Last edited by procop; 10-03-2012 at 08:54 AM.. |

The fact remains is that we have millions of chinese slaves providing us with materials that make it seem that even the poor are better off.. As long as the chinese are in that little wedge, the actual disparity gap is not really felt.. Once the chinese quit being our slaves and the rest of the world won't bother accepting US trojan horses ( $$$), the real disparity will be seen. This is why alot of people say how can you say you are poor and so much worst then those richies , you got a cell phone same as they, you have car same as they, you have a PS3 same as they... However that is not wealth, having access to consumer stuff isn't wealth... Our disparity is alot wider then what people like to admit, as long as the chinese are around we won't see it. Once they world stop supplying us, oh boy will you see how bad you are really off compared to those above you |
