i use Mohu leaf and its a great antenna. There is also an amplified mohu leaf that is supposed to be somewhat better than mohu leaf itself - it all depends on the area you live.

from the website, they are telling me to get a small multi-directional UHF Yellow Antenna. Is there a benefit to getting a Medium or Large mutli-directional antenna versus a small one?

I have this [monoprice.com]one and love it for a relatively cheap one. Mine is inside but I bet it will be better in the attic or outside. It outperforms my (non-powered) Mohu Leaf

To get the 'new' digital TV channels (ATSC), you also need an ATSC tuner.

If you bought a TV since the 'conversion' to digital, the tv has one. If you have an old TV, you need a 'digital converter box' (do a web search for "digital tv converter box"), which goes between your TV and the antenna.

These lists suck.They always tell me I am too far away to even get basic TV channels like CBS, NBC, ABC, etc. Antennaweb says I can get 2 pbs channels and FMN whatever that is.

TVfool looks better, it says a roof mounted antenna will work for most channels. However this still seems suspect to me as we had rabbit ears in the past as well as a roof mounted antenna and the rabbit ears still managed to pick up plenty of channels. I'd say digital significantly shrunk the coverage area, but all the maps I see for digital say it grew.

The Mohu Leaf HDTV antenna I bought earlier in the summer is great. Should have bought another for my guest room.

Yes, that's the one, but sorry I made a mistake - it is actually labeled as UHF/VHF. All the same, with this model my TV couldn't pick up the VHF stations at all. I've seen other antennas on Amazon that note they receive VHF for "short range." Perhaps this one falls into that category.
