I bought an E6420 last October when they had a rare 25% off

Problem is, a year later, and the same e6420 with the same config. is approx $200 more than a year ago!!!

Or to put it differently, for the same $759 before coupons I got my e6420 a year ago with i7 quad, 500, nvidia, touchscreen. . .would turn into a i3 or i5, no video or touchscreen and smaller hard drive for the same money!!!

They are jacking the #'s up to offset the sale. No way in reality that my computer actually appreciated in value a year later.

Absolutely correct. Prices are jacked a minimum of 15 % on every Model.
