The discounts worked on the AEO Canvas sneakers for me earlier today.
Thanks, I knew if it was a non-AE brand the code wouldn't work. The AEO Tassel Ballet Flats were the ones giving me the problem, so I called them and CS said I could place the order and then call them back and they would review it and issue a refund. It is a clearance item and it is an AEO item, so, fingers crossed, hopefully they'll fulfill their promise.
Any one have any idea if the sizes of the AE t-shirts is similar to Hollister sizes? Do AE shirts tend to run a little smaller in size?
For example, I'm 5' 9" tall & weights 160 lbs, I normally wear a size M, but for Hollister shirts I wear Large size. So, i'm not sure if I should order a M or L with AE shirts.
I don't have that much experience with Hollister sizing, but from what I have seen, I feel pretty confident that AE shirts are bigger. Hollister shirts are ridiculously small, imo.
I would guess that a medium would be fine for you at AE, but I think their fits are for young men, which means that they're smaller then normal. Still, they have to be bigger then Hollister, and like most every brand today, they've probably slimmed them down over the past couple of years, so comments about how they used to fit probably aren't worth much.
That's crazy. My best friend is 115lbs and 5'5 and he only wears an XS at AE... I can't imagine even a Small it fitting someone 35lbs more than him.
Trust me, I didn't really believe it either. Perhaps they've altered their sizing recently, but my favorite peacoat is an XS and still fits me perfectly (it's about three years old now, probably), as does one of my favorite AE tees in XS (also probably a good 4 years old). I haven't bought any shirts there in a while, though; so take my advice with a grain of salt. They're not hugging me at the seams by any means, either.
I did recently try on a blazer in-store and the S fit me like a glove (didn't try on the XS because the S fit so nicely). I have a 35-36" chest and slim waist, if that helps.
