Lots of mixed feelings about this on Amazon. As others have noted there, turning off the motion enhancement seems to help the picture quite a bit. Others have complained of hard to see or extremely diminished picture quality with direct sunlight, apps crashing, and light/darks being weird. Seems like a good overall set, but quite a few (even those who gave the TV a high rating) suggested spending a few extra bucks and buying a Samsung. The price above is $300 less than what Amazon sells it as.

is there any practical advantage of going for a higher refresh frequency (i.e >120Hz)?
As I understand 120Hz solves the 24fps problems.

I just bought the 52" version of this TV at Sears two days ago at $900 with free in-store pickup and a $100 sears award card.

So far I can only say good things about the TV, however the 52" doesnt have a built-in browser but I'm assuming I could buy a cheap Google-TV attachement to make up for it.

PROS:
- Amazing quality (almost to good, I had to shut-off the true motion to make it look Cinema'ish)
- Built-In WIFI
- Decent Apps (I'm not a TV nut and this is the first real TV I ever bought, so I don't know whats good or bad)
- Light-weight
- The actual casing looks awesome in my opinion

i would say ALWAYS buy EXT WARRANTY on Sharp (or any expensive led tv from any brand)

Most likely you will see wave/color band AFTER couple of years use.

Most have to turn off the true motion to get rid of that porno, or soap opera like effect.
