I know this may be a dumb question but does the 24-105 lens fit on the Rebel 3Ti? If so, is it worth purchasing a lens that costs more than the camera itself? The reviews of this lens are good and I'm looking to upgrade that 18-55 kit lens. Thanks!

Yes, It will fit on the T3I. It is a superb lens and if you have the budget for it, i'd recommend upgrading it!

or you can look into the EF-S 17-55 lens as well. I own one of these and it is amazing!

You should expect quite a few people on this thread, perhaps including me, to shed that brand new lens for a significant discount by next week.

New on Amazon as of today = $969 - 2% amazon cashback = $950 (+ tax if your state has it)
Lens on refurb store: $919.20 + 7% tax = $983(http://shop.usa.canon.com/webapp/..._263354_-1)
When 20% discount is in effect: $919 - 20% + 7% = $799.53
Used version of this lens on various forums depending on how old/condition = $700-850

So getting an unused copy for $700 is going to have to be a slickdeal. I'm not saying there may not be such deals around, but if you want this lens for $700 then I would highly recommend looking over Sell sections of photography forums.
