No stock near me, but I actually have this unit. It's been around a while, so maybe a few stores with old stock are closing it out. I paid close to MSRP and am still happy with the purchase. VERY good deal!

I just checked my local Home Depots and one store said it had 3 in stock on the stock checker. I called over and they said none in stock. I was looking to buy one of these this weekend too. This would have been a great deal.

I work at home depot and no the prices are not set by the stores. If its an item that we are no longer going to be selling so it gets marked down, eventually to $0.01. Usually items sell out before they get that low but if it gets lost behind a shelf or in the back you can sometimes find some pretty good deals. The inventory for the most part is accurate so if the associate says they can't find it I would do a little more looking, chances are they just don't know where it is, things get moved around a lot. You can also usually get a decent price on the used tools from the tool rental desk. Also make sure you use a lowes 10% off coupon or you can get 5% off with a home depot credit card, its not advertised just have to ask the cashier every time for the 5% off. Only catch with the 5% off is you won't get differed interest, but on a small purchase its not a big deal. Can also show a military/VA id card for 10% all the time.

Did the online checker and found a store that has 5 but no one else has it around the area. Wonder how reliable is the online inventory checker. Last time I check something for staples before going, it said it had a couple in stock by the time i got there they said they been out since beginning of the day. Guess you wont know until you go.
