Hello all
I have been using this oil for almost 30,000 miles. Since they are constantly FAR, it has been great! I have been using FRAM Xtendguard filters since I haven't been changing for 10,000 miles. Everything ok for a small Japanese engine (Scion Tc). I also have been using this on my BMW E46 for the last 15,000 miles with no issues. I just hope these rebates keep coming through. |

From the G-Oil FAQ's "When you need to top off, is it ok to add G-Oil Bio-based full synthetic motor oil to an engine that has either petroleum or synthetic oil already in the crankcase? Yes, G-Oil Bio-based full synthetic motor oil is completely compatible with any and all petroleum or synthetic oils currently on the market." *didn't see someone had already replied to your question |

Let me ask the experts here a question...
My 96 Civic W 217000 miles burns oil and it takes 5W30. I was told to use cheap oil because it burns oil after the head gasket work was done. We do not have A. Auto in cali and missed all those cheap oil deals lately. Now, i always looking for deals on free oil. Is this oil good for civic or buy regular only? or I just buy this send in the rebate and exchange for regular. I just need oil to burn. |

My wife and I got both of our rebates the first time around. This last time I got my rebate but she's still waiting for her's a month later. Could use a couple more but a little more leery this time around since it's not all flawless victories to this point the way it was before last time.

Anyway, you were told to use cheap oil, last I checked, free oil is pretty cheap. Only problem is that it looks like they're ready to go bankrupt at some point but until they do, you'll probably still get those rebates. For this rebate you do need to send in the UPC code which can be removed with a hair dryer (I guess this is the part where they make it difficult to redeem so maybe it lowers the redemption rate) but some people have reported being able to return it to Walmart because the rebate never came. Not sure how that worked. Just to answer your question, synthetic is fine in all applications that require conventional, but not vice versa. Some claim that synthetic tends to leak more than conventional, but free oil is still free oil. |

Chances are they're trying to get the product out there and are heavily subsidized by the "green" government cash. |
