I go with Dell or Asus. Decent enough reviews plus the three years warranty.

I am currently using my 37" (static lines when warming up) monitor. Need IPS. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dell_monitors Last edited by atrix415; 10-03-2012 at 12:06 PM.. |

These are good monitors (I have the HP LP2475w - equivalent to this). Be aware that they are WIDE-GAMUT, and without calibration, you may experience insane Reds, etc.
Even with calibration, you might get some weird colors. I ended up getting a ColorHug (http://www.hughski.com/) for $100, and ended up with great results in Lightroom et al. You could always .. buy .. a Spyder calibrator .. from a place .. with a liberal .. return .. policy.. |

You're all insane
The reason this monitor is $100-200 more than other IPS panel monitors you see is NOT because it's 16:10 (1920x1200) instead of 16:9 (1920x1080).This is a full on, 8-bit IPS panel. The other monitors are 6-bit e-IPS with dithering. The backlight is also a wide gamut CCFL, not an LED. The SD fetish for 1920x1200 is out of control. People really think getting those extra vertical pixels justify a 50% price premium? Ugh. You're all a bunch of faddish bandwagoners. |

If you want a monitor that doubles as a small TV this is excellent. Let's see the Korean versions do that. (No, seriously, I would pay to see these features on cheaper Korean monitors). I might have to pick this up and make mine a dual monitor setup... |

How does this compare to the ASUS PA248Q?
That has almost the same specs, except it's got 4 USB 3.0 ports, and a rotating stand (portrait or landscape mode). It's also 1920x1200 and 8-bit IPS It was $290 on Friday. http://slickdeals.net/f/5263936-A...-FS-Newegg |

Price Research: Our research indicates that the 24" Dell U2410 UltraSharp IPS 1920x1200 LCD Monitor + 3-Year Advanced Replacement Warranty is $89 lower (20% savings) than the next best available price from a reputable merchant with prices starting from $495. -iconian
495 - 359 = 89? |

"You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? Then who the (bleep) else are you talkin' to? You talkin' to me? Well I'm the only one here. Who do you think you're talking to? Oh yeah? Huh? OK."
