Passive? Active? 3D? Heck... save a few bucks and drink heavily before watching the movie! You'll swear it's in 3D!

Great....here we go. Got an email from Fry's:
Thank you for your order. We apologize but the item(s) you ordered are currently out of stock and we are unable to provide a definite ship date at this time. However, we continually receive new merchandise in our warehouse and we hope to fulfill your order within the next thirty days or sooner if possible. At this time, your order is still pending and will ship as soon as the item(s) are in stock. If you would prefer to cancel, change, or check the status of your order, you may do so at anytime prior to shipment by calling customer service at 1-(408)350-1484 or e-mail us at service@cs. frys.com. If you choose to cancel your order we will provide a full and prompt refund of any charges which you may have incurred for unshipped items. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for choosing Frys.com HOPEFULLY the reason they are OOS is because this is a pre-order?? Yeah I know....

Supposedly I still have Heroes Season 2 and 3 $8.99 Blu-Rays on backorder for a couple months at Fry's. With Fry's you never know if or when they will fulfill or cancel your backorders, but I guess on a preorder they are more likely to get new inventory. I have no idea why it would take that long to get more Heroes seasons which makes me think they may not even be trying.
If they send backorder notices to people who preordered Avatar 3D early but not to those who ordered later, it shows their system is not FIFO and therefore not a fair or well implemented system, though Fry's would hardly be alone in not having a FIFO system. I'm passing on Avatar 3D for now and waiting for the extended cut 3D Blu-Ray. |

I could not justify the trade off of keeping one when people were willing to pay $100 for it. One or two sold for as high as $130.... man people must have money to burn. Now I finally get to have my own - for what it should cost - $20. Last edited by jmsatl; 10-08-2012 at 07:09 PM.. |
