great deal on this (compared to MSRP) but I don't really see the point of this product's existence. What's the point of using a large case with a miniITX board?

i still dont fully understand, though. why wouldnt you just buy a full size everything? the awesome part of mITX is how tiny they are. And you pay (usually) for that feature. I'm just trying to think of an app. File server where you don't have much room to put it? Maybe it's because my focus on mITX is for HTPCs... Thanks guys. |

DO NOT BUY THIS CASE!!!
I have owned this case for about 2 months now and Bitfenix stuff is nothing short of complete crap quality: 1. My case shipped with broken feet / handles, manufacturer error over-tightened the attachment points on the legs and cracked all the screw holes. 2. Front panel arrived scratched up. 3. HDD Mounting attachments are awful, any sort of tangential pressure on the metal nibs causes them to pop out of their rubber casings. You have to be incredibly careful to mount your drive without popping the metal nibs out. 4. Mounting screws for the fans are completely god awful. I'm pretty sure they are made of lead and literally dissolve when you try to screw them in or unscrew them. The force of using a screwdriver without slipping caused the phillips flanges to shear off. That being said their customer service is pretty fantastic and they replaced all the parts that I had issues with. Also being said you shouldn't need to replace that many parts on a new case. Since I have a collection of working parts and properly mounted fans I will keep using this case, but to everyone else looking to make a gaming case stick with something better like Silverstone and pay the extra cash. |
