Ive never done a PM @ kohls, do you locate the product and take it to the register for a PM or head to customer service to see if they'll PM?

You do have some time to keep monitoring SD for more good Mixer deals. And just posted today is a walmart add for the 4.5 @199.00. You could do that and stuff it down Kohls cash register for super discount. Or wait on more deals cause they will come.Black Fri sitll gives you a month till Cmas. What state are you in?What store? |

I've seem a couple times where different stores come up with BS stories and the corporate will override it in a heartbeat. Kohls.com Customer Service Please direct any questions concerning Kohls.com to this toll free number: Phone Toll Free: (866) 887-8884 Hours: 7am to 10pm CDT Monday through Saturday 9am to 10pm CDT, Sunday It is a close call on the letter of what they say in their policy but I thought it would be worth a try. It is my impression that Kohls pushes very hard to be customer friendly. "If I find the same item with a lower price at another store, will you match/beat the competitor's price? Yes! We do match our competitors' prices. Just bring a copy of the competitor's ad with the current date on it to your nearest Kohl's Department Store. (Make sure the ad includes a description of the item.) This applies to in-store prices and products only, not to Kohls.com pricing or products." This is from their policy. Store is the only sticker and if you get a lawyer on me I would say from Tarakit site. Tarakit Stores.http://www.tarakit.com/sitemap/#.UHtK_s1eY08 |

Works!*
I had some trouble at the CS desk--she said they cannot PM and add the 30% coupon--one or the other. However, I politely pointed out that the fine print on the coupon does not say that, it states that coupons can not be applied to a PM on a PREVIOUS purchase--obviously this was not a prior purchase. After eloquently debating this with the CS woman for several minutes and getting nowhere, I had to ask to speak with a manager. I told him that I know for a fact that other people were able to use their coupons after PM at other Kohls locations and that there was no verbiage on the coupon indicating otherwise. I expressed to him that his Kohls should not be able to adopt different policies than others. After he had enough of me talking he said, "Go ahead and do it". I walked out with an MSRP $450 mixer for $144.05, including tax (I had $20 of Kohls cash already). If you subtract the additional KC that I received, total comes to $124.05 including tax--that is a SD!Thanks for the post! |

**UPDATE** I went to a different location near my job in Miramar and they did it with no problem! They price matched tarakit, gave me 20% off and $30 in Kohls cash with the rebate. My mom's going to love her christmas gift! Thanks OP. Last edited by Tinafart; 10-20-2012 at 10:08 AM.. |

New Problem: I just attempted this deal at a Kohl's store in Jacksonville, FL. After going back and forth with the CSR about whether or not they would PM an online ad, she decided to contact the store manager. The store manager wanted to verify the UPC & the model #. Even after everything matched up perfectly, she still denied my request. Her excuse was that the retail price for Tarakit was $349.99 and not $449.99 as it is for Kohl's, so she could not accept such a low PM. The store manager said that if the retail price was the same, she'd be happy to accept the PM. I even mentioned that the price at the kitchenaid website is $349.99. The best she could offer me was to give me their black friday price today ($349.99). I said that was every local store's price right now, so that's not much of a deal. I kept pushing and said that I knew of multiple people who have been successful with this exact same method. The CSR said that they must have gone to stores with people who weren't trained properly or something.
P.S. I just looked at kitchenaid.com and the MSRP for the KSM150PSER is $429.99, so I don't know where Kohl's is getting $449.99! Nobody's ad will have a retail price the same as Kohl's in this case. |

I would think the sticky part is "After going back and forth with the CSR about whether or not they would PM an online ad" Then after that is should be easy. Need to think a bit on it but should have some price match policy from Kohls.
Print out the Policy Print out the add and #s Maybe a reference to corporate or a phone call to get a official statement and a name. Back at the store. The managers name and phone # for reference to this problem. Next what day is the jerk off. Last go to different store. If we can see some deals for ? around 200 you will be able to get a super deal with all the Kohls stuff. And 15$ Kohls cash for a small BF window. Don't give up. What's your time frame? |
|
I am thinking of going to another Kohl's before the day is over so I can try to get this over with before all of the black Friday madness begins/risking the store being out of stock in the color I want. I am going to print out the Kohl's price match policy and bring it with me too. My time frame is until Nov. 25th (when the $15 Kohl's cash ends). Are you suggesting that I call corporate about the price matching for reference purposes before I go to another store? |
|

I was trying to think of some past posts of these problems but only one I can remember is lowes corporate came down on some stores for not following policy. Print out the price match so it should be no question that you are prepared to do battle. Hopefully you get someone that is reasonable. Try not to make a point of the Tarakit stores being online only. Just so that doesn't block you. |

UPDATE: I ended up going to another Kohl's in Jacksonville that same day. The CSR didn't know how to change the price on the computer, so he had to call an E3 over to help. She gave me problems over the fact that this was not an "AD" and this was an online price to some store. I pulled out the Kohl's price match policy from their website that I printed earlier and read it to her. I explained that it didn't specify as to where an "ad" must come from and whether or not it can be from online.
She still wasn't budging & also brought up the next issue: DIFFERENT RETAIL PRICE. She said "normally if they are the same product, they will have the same retail price." I said that I looked online at multiple stores & they all had different retail prices. I told her that I called customer service and was told that there would be no issue getting the price match, otherwise I wouldn't be here wasting my time. She asked if customer service knew that I wasn't using an ad and I told her that I explained to them exactly how I got to the page. She then said, "let me go into the office for a minute". 6 long, annoying & tedious minutes later, she came back out of the office. I don't know what she did, but she came out and said "I'll do this for you just this once, but next time it has to be from a store's print ad" (like I'm really going to come back here to you specifically the next time I want to price match...I highly doubt that). I just said okay and handed her my 15% off coupon. She made a quiet remark to herself, "you're getting this half off", with attitude while typing in the new price. I told her thank you and said that Kohl's just needs to be more specific with their policy so that everyone can be on the same page. I wasn't even happy at this point. Don't get me wrong, I was very relieved and glad that I got the mixer, but I was also so annoyed that I had to go through this nonsense with Kohl's. It has definitely changed my attitude towards the store. I think I need to take a little break from shopping there and then things might wear off. My Receipt: Sale Price 399.99 Item Markdown $ 189.00- Item Price 449.99 YouSave 239.00 Subtotal 210.99 15% Special Offer 31.65- Total: $191.89 **Received $45 in Kohl's Cash and got the $30 rebate to submit for the mixer. |

I'm looking at your math and 210.99 -31/65=179.34-30 mail in =149.34-KC$ of 45$=104.34$ Pretty sweet deal. Now you just have to recharge your slick deals battery and get ready for the next deal. Again -way to stick with it. |
