My cat has urinary distress

So i called back and asked if the muscle relaxant was really necessary and might be actually making him pee uncontrollaby. The vet said it was possible and i could simply administer the muscle relaxant if the cat displayed signs of pain again or stopped urinating. The crystals might actually reform.

That is a great sign that he is eating and especially urinating even if it is uncontrollably. Anything is better than him being blocked. Hopefully the worst is over and he makes a quick recovery.

I really hope so and im not giving him the muscle relaxants tonight . Since the vet told me they gave me some to give him as a precaution since he was not at all active like he was when we finally got him home.

It is kind of like he was faking it at the Vet in the hope they wouldnt keep poking and prodding him. He looks like he has white booties because they shave part of his two front paws down to the skin and bone so they could insert the catheter and iv.

he is lively but still dribbling. We have a large bathroom so i have him sequestered in there. He is all excited every time i check on him and he is rubbing up on me. I think he would be fine let out with his brothers and sisters but wife doesnt agree. Easy for her to say since she is doing a course all weekend

Unfortunately this stray pit mix dog is now in our backyard and im wasting countless time trying to find the owner. You dont realise how old you are until you get a new dog. damn this thing has alot of energy and it keeps trying to lick my face off.

Getting a headache from this. The Banfield rabies tag has an id on it after 20 mins of fending the dog off from licking my face and squirming around- So i called Banfield's 800# . They pulled up 100's of records of different pets with the same tag allover the country. Apparently they dont have one id per pet. Which would be the intelligent thing to do if you are going to use an id system, make it friggen unique.They cant even search by state or zip or anything. It is just a jumbled list of pets. Anyway after 20 mins he find the closest person registered with that tag (about 250 miles). So i convince them to give me the persons number and i call leaving a message. She doesnt own any pets and said people often confuse her number with this other number. So i dialed that number and got a 'huh wtf' response.

at least kitty is responding too bad kitty is in kitty "jail". my girl is looking at me wondering what the heck is going on when are you gonna play, etc.

Jack my kitty that terrorises the girls is sitting on the couch looking through the window at the side yard where i have sequestered the dog that ive been wasting the whole day trying to find its owners. I gave the dog a bowl of water but really dont have any suitable food for it. Everytime i go outside it tries to jump all over me.

i think there was a bit of teeth involved. Friggen dog im now exhausted and need to take a nap. If i hadnt taken him in im sure hed have gotten hit by a car on our busy road but now im kind of stuck with him. My kitties dont want a new friend mummy cat is already hissing at boomey after we brought him back.

No one has asked, or not that I recall (not shocking if I missed a post), but what kind of wet food are you giving your cat?
